You can read the Site without creating a public account. We receive information you choose to submit through the contact form, routine server logs and data used by essential site, security and advertising technologies. We do not sell personal information.
1. Scope and operator
This Privacy Policy explains how Robot Companion AI at RobotCompanion.online (“the Site,” “we,” “us” or “our”) handles information when you browse the Site, use its contact form or interact with advertising and third-party links.
The Site is an independent educational publication edited by William Reeves. It is not a robot manufacturer, retailer, healthcare provider or account platform for the products discussed in its articles. Product manufacturers and linked services process information under their own privacy policies.
2. Information we receive
Information you submit
The contact form asks for your name, email address, subject and message. We receive any other information you voluntarily include. Do not submit passwords, payment details, medical records, government identifiers or other unnecessary sensitive information.
Information collected during normal site operation
The web server, security systems and caching infrastructure may automatically record information such as:
- IP address and approximate network location
- Browser, device and operating-system information
- Date and time of requests
- Requested URL, referring page and response status
- Technical errors, security events and suspected abusive traffic
These records support delivery, security, debugging and performance. They are not intended to identify a reader by name.
Public accounts and comments
The Site does not currently offer reader registration, public profiles or open article comments. If these features are introduced, this Policy will be updated before they are used to collect additional information.
3. How information is used
Information may be used to:
- Deliver pages and maintain the Site’s operation.
- Protect against spam, abuse, malicious traffic and unauthorized access.
- Review and respond to contact messages, corrections and privacy requests.
- Diagnose errors, improve accessibility and understand aggregate site performance.
- Display, measure and manage advertising where permitted.
- Establish, exercise or defend legal rights and comply with lawful obligations.
Depending on the activity and applicable law, processing may rely on your request or consent, legitimate interests in operating and protecting the Site, or compliance with legal obligations. This summary does not remove rights available under local law.
5. Service providers and third parties
The Site currently uses or may rely on the following categories:
Servers, caching and security providers process request data to deliver and protect the Site.
WordPress publishes the Site. Contact Form 7 processes form fields so the message can be emailed to the editorial inbox. The Site does not currently use a separate public form-submission archive plugin.
The Site loads Google’s advertising script. Google may process information for ad delivery, measurement, fraud prevention and related purposes under its own policies and the consent choices applicable to the visitor.
Email and hosting providers process contact messages and delivery metadata so we can receive and respond to correspondence.
Manufacturers, research publishers, retailers and other sites receive information such as the request and possibly the referring page when you choose to visit them.
We do not control third-party privacy practices. Review their notices before creating accounts, purchasing products or submitting personal information.
6. Disclosure and sale of information
Robot Companion AI does not sell personal information. Information may be disclosed only as reasonably necessary:
- To providers that host, secure, deliver, advertise or support the Site.
- To respond to a valid legal demand or protect rights, safety and Site integrity.
- In connection with a future transfer of the Site, subject to appropriate notice and safeguards.
- With your direction or consent.
Advertising providers may independently determine purposes and means of certain processing. Their activities are governed by their own notices and applicable consent requirements.
7. Retention
Contact messages are retained only as long as reasonably needed to respond, document an editorial correction, resolve a dispute, meet legal obligations or protect the Site. Server and security logs are retained according to hosting, caching and security configurations and may be deleted or aggregated on different schedules.
No universal 26-month analytics period applies because the Site does not currently load Google Analytics. When information is no longer reasonably needed, it may be deleted, anonymized or allowed to expire from active systems, subject to backups and legal requirements.
8. Security
Reasonable administrative and technical measures are used to protect the Site and submitted information. These may include encrypted HTTPS transport on the public site, software updates, access controls, spam filtering, caching and security monitoring.
No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Do not send information that is unnecessary for your request. If you believe information submitted to the Site has been compromised, contact us promptly.
9. International processing
The Site can be accessed internationally and its hosting, advertising, email or other providers may process information in countries different from yours. Those countries may have different data-protection rules. Where required, providers and the Site should rely on appropriate contractual, consent or other lawful transfer mechanisms.
10. Your choices and privacy rights
Depending on your location and the applicable law, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or portability of personal information, or to withdraw consent. These rights can have exceptions, and identity may need to be verified proportionately before a request is fulfilled.
Tell us the email address used, approximate submission date and the specific information or request. Do not send identity documents unless a secure verification method is requested.
Use available consent controls and browser settings to manage storage. Google also provides its own advertising and account controls.
The Site does not currently operate a general marketing newsletter. Replies relate to the request you submitted unless you separately agree to another communication.
Complaints may also be made to the data-protection authority or consumer authority available in your jurisdiction.
11. Children’s privacy
The Site is written for a general adult audience, even when articles discuss products intended for children. The contact form is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly request personal information from them. A parent or guardian who believes a child submitted information should contact us so the request can be reviewed and the information deleted where appropriate.
12. Policy changes
This Policy may be updated when the Site’s forms, advertising, analytics, hosting or legal obligations change. A new effective date will be shown at the top and bottom of the page. Material changes may also be highlighted on the Site where appropriate.
13. Privacy contact
Send privacy questions or requests to contact@robotcompanion.online with “Privacy request” in the subject, or use the Contact page. Identify the relevant interaction and request without including unnecessary sensitive information.
This Privacy Policy is effective July 14, 2026 and replaces the previous version posted on the Site.
